This is 8 bay DAS (Direct Attached Storage) enclosure that utilizes the widely available new USB3.0 and performance orientated eSATA connections to provide over 200MB/s in data transfer. With built-in Large, Clean, R00, R30, it provides hardware RAID redundancy protection against data loss due to hard drive failures. All 8 HDDs are supported and the maximum capacity is up to 24TB.
